Tantalum bursting disc, also called bursting membrane, is a non-closable pressure relief device that opens at a predetermined pressure. It is also the weakest point on the equipment to withstand pressure. In toxic containers where safety valves are not suitable, a protective device that achieves pressure relief by rupturing the diaphragm.
Bursting discs are divided into positive arch bursting discs, reverse arch bursting discs, flat bursting discs, and graphite bursting discs.
The sealing performance of the bursting disc is better than that of the safety valve, and the reaction speed is faster (within 0.02 seconds), so it is more appropriate to use bursting discs in some environments. However, the bursting disc cannot be reused after the bursting, which is a waste of materials.
The bursting disc can burst at a specified temperature and pressure to release pressure. It consists of a bursting disc and a clamp.
