🔹1. Pure tungsten electrode (WP)
Composition: Contains over 99.9% tungsten and no impurities.

Application: Communication welding (such as aluminum and magnesium alloys), low-cost scenarios.
🔹2. Thorium tungsten electrode (WT series)
Ingredients: doped with 0.8% -4.4% thorium oxide (ThO ₂).
Color identification: yellow (WT10), red (WT20), purple (WT30), orange red (WT40).
Characteristics: Good conductivity, stable arc initiation, high current carrying capacity, but thorium is radioactive and requires specialized storage equipment.
