Description
Ta-2.5W alloy is a high-performance alloy composed of tantalum (Ta) and tungsten (W), with a tungsten content of 2.5% and the remainder being tantalum. This alloy maintains excellent corrosion resistance of tantalum while improving high-temperature strength and creep resistance through solid solution strengthening of tungsten, making it suitable for industrial applications in extreme environments.
Key Features
✅ Excellent corrosion resistance
Resistant to most acids (including hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, sulfuric acid, etc.), but not to hydrofluoric acid (HF) and strong bases.
Can still maintain antioxidant properties at high temperatures.
✅ Excellent high-temperature performance
The addition of tungsten significantly improves the high-temperature strength and creep resistance of the alloy (better than pure tantalum).
Applicable temperature range: Room temperature~2500 ° C+(short-term exposure).
✅ Good machinability
Can be processed into rods, sheets, tubes, wires, etc.
Performance can be further optimized through cold/hot processing.
✅ Low thermal expansion coefficient&high thermal conductivity
Suitable for high-temperature thermal cycling environments, such as spacecraft components.
